We just had a great weekend here in Ann Arbor. It was my daughters dedication on Sunday and a bunch of my friends and family came to church for it. It really felt so good because we know we have so many people in our lives who care about us and want the best for our daughter. Plus we attend an awesome church and have an amazing church family. Even our Ann Arbor Insurance agent goes there. We had so many people giving us gifts and telling us congratulations. Really made us feel special on this important day. Now that all of my friends and family have little kids, it makes getting together that much more difficult. So it means that much more when they can make it to a special occasion like this. The pastor did a great job and we have the whole thing on DVD, so it will be fun to watch later.

My husband, a group of our friends and I had heard of how amazing the golf was in Miami Beach. So we all decided to pack up for a week and head there to give it a shot! We choose a hotel in Miami Beach that was located close to the Miami Beach Golf Club. The hotel was amazing and had a wonderful view of the course. The staff were so kind and even helped us make tee-times and even gave us a discount on the course and the hotel room. They offered a free breakfast to everyone at the hotel which was just amazing! The best part of our trip had to be playing golf all day long! It was so much fun and the course was amazing! I cannot wait until we get to go back and have some more fun in Miami Beach! It really is a great place to golf!

Using the little camera that is built directly into the iPhone provided us with a means to take some great photos during our recent excursion to the mountains. While most phones have similar capabilities, the iPhone really can produce some exceptional results in a variety of lighting. We had just got the phone before leaving on the long drive and got an opportunity to make calls from a wide range of areas. Some of the really small towns in the mountains are not good for making or receiving calls. This has nothing to do with the quality of the iPhone logic board, the camera or any other parts of the phone. Actually we were told that it had to do with the proximity of the cellular towers which can be easily blocked by the mountains on some roads. This is just an unfortunate reality for the folks who live in those areas. Many of them use some local service providers that seem to produce better results, so at least they have some way of dealing with the issue of less than ideal connection quality.
